Participation in cooperation with Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG)
The construction project extends the row of buildings of the German Bundestag to the east. The joint design by JSWD and BIG integrates the existing listed buildings and at the same time gives the ensemble of buildings an independent address. A wooden roof, visible from afar, spans the central hall and a forecourt facing the Spree. It provides shade and serves as a support for photovoltaic elements.
